Reading List: Seasonal Eats

The farmers' market trip left me searching for seasonal recipes so I can fill my basket, but make use of the bounty. (Like many, I tend to go vegetable and fruit overboard.) Here are a few good picks for bright seasonal bites so that by the time Sunday rolls around, not a crumb is left!

Fair & Farm Food

One day fried, the other day fresh. This whole weekend was an exploration in local fare--both at the fair and the farmer's market. From giant turkey legs and deep fried avocado, to chameh melon and huge tangerines, it was an epicurean journey through the best and worst (deep fried butter anyone?) that Southern California has to offer.
