Weekend Monkey: Nights and Lights!

Huzzah! The weekend has begun and the lights are out. No, really.

GLOW, the after-dark light and art event, returns to Santa Monica on Saturday, September 25, 2010 from 7pm to 3am. This year features over 20 original light installations, displays and exhibits created by local and international artists. More information on GLOW here.

If you're feeling like watching lights, but aren't near the beach, Pershing Square's Autumn Lights returns with a showcase of artists projecting their work into the sky from 7pm to 1am while various bands like The Ooks of Hazzard and The Toledo Show jam out. With the lid put on L.A. Art Walk until 2011, Autumn Nights is a good chance to check out the galleries and bars downtown. For further information visit Autumn Nights LA.
