Space Monkey: Irish Fusion

Irish-born Danielle Mac Innes' quirky, flea-market-meets-modish perspective is just as fresh as the green countryside and boldly chic like the London and Dublin locales of her interior design firm, FUSE. With an ever-changing array of unique treasures and an inventive spin on defining a space, her vintage online shop and her equally interesting blog are worth scouting. Yes, it might make you wish you were vacationing in the Emerald Isle so you could pop in and say hello, but it's marvelously inspirational from afar nonetheless.

Savvy Sverige

Ahh, Sweden. It absolutely knows what is good about life: design, coffee and potatoes. It also knows to keep design magazines in operation (rather than, say, Golf Digest, Condé Nast, but I won't go there) and lucky for us, Sköna Hem, an interior design glossy with delicious pictures and ideas is available online. While you may not be able to understand the language, the eye for color, impeccable taste and use of textures by featured Swedes translates beautifully. With a move to new digs soon, I found a few rooms for inspiration. Check out the pop of color in these abodes:

In Store Designer

Ok, I lied. I didn't have time to blog yesterday. But here I am and I am happy to announce that my good friend Eric Meeks has finally launched his new web series, In Store Designer. Eric, a computer genius-turned-designer who has the most meticulous apartment of any straight man I know, has finally turned his concept of interviewing independent Los Angeles designers into a reality. Now, he is on a mission to stores and showrooms to show us a glimpse into various designers creative processes, business strategies and unique designs. For his first episode, he interviewed Craig Olsen, an innovative Angeleno who mixes classic architectural and design elements with surprising fabrics and details. Next month, who knows? But keep Eric on your radar. He's hopping about LA and is going to dig up some interesting design stories and find out what the world of Los Angeles interiors is all about.

Blog Find: Mimi & Meg

Any blog that is written by a fellow Domino magazine lover is something I will read, but what makes Mimi and Meg so fun is that Megan mixes great interior design with color (and more color!), art, fashion plus a dash of her own life and a side of quirk.
